Terms of Use

QuizLab is a free chess training tool that lets coaches build chess position quizzes and share them with their own students. It is offered as-is, without any service level, uptime, or availability commitment. Features may change or be withdrawn at any time.

Only coaches may register. Coaches create student accounts on their students' behalf and are responsible for the accuracy of the details they enter and for sharing credentials privately and securely.

You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your password confidential. Do not share accounts, and tell us if you believe an account has been accessed by someone else.

If you create an account for a student who is a minor, you confirm that you have the authority or the parent's or guardian's permission to do so, and that you will only enter the minimum details needed to run your lessons.

You keep ownership of the quizzes, positions, prompts and text you create. You grant us the limited permission needed to store, process and display that content so the service can work for you and the students you share it with.

You are responsible for having the rights to any material you upload or paste in, and for making sure it does not infringe anyone else's rights.

Your use of QuizLab must follow the Acceptable Use policy. Serious or repeated breaches may result in content removal or account suspension without notice.

Quiz share links stay active until the coach deletes the quiz. Deleting a quiz or a student account removes the associated data and cannot be undone. Keep your own copies of anything you need to retain — we do not guarantee backups or recovery.

You may stop using the service and ask for your account to be deleted at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, create risk for other users, or are used unlawfully.

The service is provided without warranties of any kind, and is used at your own risk. See the Disclaimer for details, including limits on liability.

We may update these terms. The version identifier at the top of this page changes when the wording changes, and continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.
