Privacy Notice

• Account details: email address, optional display name, role (coach, student or administrator), and which coach a student belongs to.
• Sign-in data: a securely hashed password and session information. Plain passwords are never stored.
• Your content: quizzes, chess positions, prompts and expected moves you create.
• Quiz activity: student answers, scores, and completion times.
• Preferences: chosen chess piece set and board theme.
• Policy acceptance: the date and policy version you accepted at registration.

Solely to operate the service: authenticating you, showing your quizzes, recording quiz results for your coach, and remembering your board preferences. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

Coaches can see their own quizzes, their own students, and those students' results. Students can see quizzes assigned by their coach and only their own results. Users cannot see other users' work. Site administrators can access account and quiz data to operate and support the service.

The application is hosted and its database, authentication and email delivery are provided by third-party infrastructure providers acting on the site operator's behalf. They process data only to keep the service running.

Data is kept while the account exists. Coaches can delete quizzes and student accounts at any time, which removes the associated records permanently. To have your own account removed, contact the site operator.

Coaches decide which student details are entered. Please keep this to the minimum needed — an email address and a first name are usually enough. Do not enter sensitive personal information anywhere in the service.

You can update your name and preferences from your account, change your password at any time, and request access to or deletion of your data by contacting the site operator.

If this notice changes, the version identifier at the top of the page changes with it.
